New Gallery

I've been asked to move my gallery of layouts, so I have been making a new blog with all my layouts. So far I've only entered ones I created in 2005 that aren't in the pipeline to being published. I will add more layouts to my new album over the next week or so.

So, please drop by my gallery and let me know what you think!

Photographer or Scrapbooker?

Okay, so I'm more of a Photographer than a Scrapbooker!! I've just downloaded 543 photos from our mini-break plus 17 from my last crop night, 18 from a lunch and 35 from Easter!! That is a lot of editing and cropping to do - not to mention HEAPS of new photos to scrap!!!

It might be while before I have a heap to share, so have a look at this one in the meantime....

A-Z Competition

Phew! It's been a while since I've blogged, but I plan to catch up a bit today. For those of you wondering (yeah, like there are hundreds passing by my blog each day - hahahaha), I finished my A-Z album and it has winged its way to NSW for the judging. I don't expect any results from my album.... I am just happy that I've managed to complete it and actually sent it!

Here's the front cover, using 'those' papers!!

Very bright and almost tacky!! It was really hard to think of a decent way of doing my title with those papers. Way too bright for me!!

I also completely pulled apart and re-did my 'A' layout. It looks much better now. So that's my A-Z. I'll update other things that have been happening shortly. Thanks for looking.

Riddle Me This.....

So, these girls (my cousins) are roughly half my age - making them my 'kid cousins'. They spent a fair bit of time, on Boxing Day last year, complaining that I wanted to take some photos of them. They then find my blog and suddenly want to be famous!!! So here they are, fresh from my blog comments.....

Nicky, Sammy & Mandy!!

...and YES, I have done at least one layout of you!!! Next time you visit my blog, Ladies, email me, or leave an email address so I can chat with you!!

Finished the Layouts!!

Phew! I have finally finished the layouts for my A-Z album!! How exciting is that!! Once I put the album together with the acknowledgement pages, I'll go back through the layouts and tweak them a bit. Here are the last three I completed today....

I had a lot of trouble with this one and am worried it looks a little 'thrown together'. I spend ages on it, though.

Bit of a simple layout in the end, but I love the simplicity of it!

So sweet! I love how this layout turned out!!

I feel amazingly relieved to have the layouts finished. I only have one week left until the date I want to send it by, so I had better get motoring on the other bits!! Thanks for looking!!

Five More Layouts...

I am really looking forward to tomorrow. My sister-in-law and mum-in-law are taking Mia & Chris to the city for the fifth birthday celebrations for Roma Street Parklands. There are supposed to be rides and show bags for all children who turn five this year (Amelia). I will be at home alone with Nicholas. I hope to get him to bed the second the others leave and get some work done (and if I'm really lucky, some scrapping).

I had a little scrap tonight while John was at a meeting and managed to finish off FIVE more layouts! I only have three left to do, then I can do the album and lists of products. I'm not overly proud of any of these layouts (for the A-Z), but I will show you another few anyway!!

This is the best photo from a series we took with my In-Laws. We have some great photos from that day. My favourite is being published on a layout in Scrapbooking Memories next month.

I love this photo. I kept Amelia's eyes in colour and black&whited the rest of it. It makes her bright blue eyes look really steely.

I love this photo, too. Even if Amelia does have grit and grime all over her face!!

So there you have it. Three more for the blog. I have been slowly adding them to my albums, if you'd like to see some others there. A-Z Album. My Favourites Album.

Thanks for looking!

Eighteen Layouts Down...

I scrapped up a storm yesterday afternoon/last night and managed to finish EIGHTEEN layout for my A-Z. Okay, I admit they were all started, but I never thought I'd finish that many!! I don't know if I am overly pleased with all of them, but if I have time at the end to come back and fix a few, I know that I can.

I'll share a few of my favourites....

I just had to use my new Heidi Swapp round chipboard alphabet on this one. "Obstreperous" is a word that John used to call me when we were dating. It has clung on and we use it on the kids now - not that they are overly obstreperous... we just like telling them to "Stop being obstreperous!"

I love the story that goes with this photo. Amelia is such a sweet-heart.

My quintessential little girl. I love this layout, but am not sure about the journaling. I feel I kind of wrecked the layout with it. Oh, well...

I found the papers so extremely hard to work with and am glad to be nearly finished the album. I will load the rest of the layouts onto my album over the next week or so. Thanks for looking.

A New Day

Yesterday turned out to be a bit of a write-off. John came home sick with a mirgraine, which meant I had to go into work. I'm back at work today, because it is BAS time and I didn't get to it yesterday!!

I am about to leave, though, and rush home. John and the kids are at my MIL. I figure if I can cook dinner and have it ready for them when they get home, they can eat and go to bed early, leaving the kitchen table free for ME!! I want to watch TV while I scrap tonight. I don't know what's on, but I'll find something! I will probably fall asleep at 9pm, but at least I will have scrapped!!

My aim is to finish at least 10 A-Z layouts and to start (and hopefully finish) my CyberCrop challenge. Will post the results here, if I get to any of it!! Have a fab Friday night!!

Determined to Scrap Today

I am absolutely determined to scrap today. It is overcast, I am all cramped up (oh the joys) and the kids are all home with no running around needed. All the washing is away and I only have the kitchen, bathroom and the floors left to clean before I fall in a heap~!

I might try out some of my new goodies!! Yay!

Survived First Term

Today was the Easter Concert and break-up party for Mia's preschool. I now officially have a child on school holidays (yep, I know this will wear off, but I have another 18 years of kids at school - or more if I have any more babies, so let me get excited about being on school holidays)!!

All the littlies in her class are so sweet and happy. She is lucky to be surrounded with so many lovely children. They sang some songs and tricked the parents into doing the Chicken Dance with them - man that song goes on FOREVER!! Lots of giggles and lots of disgustingly sweet food later, I dragged my three away and lived through three or four hours of suger-highs!! My Mother-In-Law came along, too, which made Amelia beam with happiness - so lovely.

I received some new scrapping stuff today, too. I can't wait to play with it all!! My two favourites would have to be my Heidi Swapp ROUND Chipboard Alphabet and the Li'l Davis Designs tape. I never warmed to Heidi's tapes, but the Li'l Davis ones are so cute! Sorry for the dodgy photo.....

I like the pink and green, but I really LOVE the blue and brown - one of my fav colour combos at the moment!! Hopefully I'll get to use them this weekend (haahaha!!).

Kim Archer's Class

I participated in Kim Archer's "Celebrate Family" class last night - it was so much fun and I really love the layout I completed from it.

I'm really looking forward to more classes with Kim - she's amazing! Totally calm through it all and answering emails and questions and being a mum through the whole class - too cool!! Thanks Kim!!
