What's in a Name?

This was on Alicia's blog, so I thought I'd try it too. I don't think there are any 'Sara Pearcy's in Australia, but I might be wrong....

HowManyOfMe.com
LogoThere are:
4
people with my name
in the U.S.A.

How many have your name?

At least when my name is Googled, most of the entries that pop up are me. There is an accountant in the UK with the same name. US entries show a Sarah Pearcy, but that's not the same, as my pronounciation is different. ;)

Interesting? I bet you are rivetted!!

Moving My Scrap Space

My scrapbooking sale went really well, thanks to all who supported me. I was so happy to meet some lovely ladies whom I've only ever chatted with online. Most of my stock was sold, leaving me with about a box-full of odds and ends. Thank you.

I have been busy trying to clear everything out from under the house, so we are ready to demolish downstairs for renovations. My scrap room is the first to go and it's given me an excellent chance to cull so many products I've been hording and clear up the mess.

As you can see, it was a mess!! I took these photos after I had already taken a fair bit of stuff out, hence the gaps. Rest assured it was stacked to the rafters, before that!!

My scrap space has now moved into our master bedroom. When the renovations are complete, the existing kitchen/dining will become the master bedroom with ensuite. The kitchen/dining will be moved downstairs. The existing master bedroom will become my scrap room!! I'll finally have a clean, air conditioned space to have small crops with my friends in - yay!!

In the meantime, we have bought a huge book shelf from Ikea for my scrap stuff. We built it in the bedroom and it will never be coming out!! It weighs a tonne! It seals the deal that this will eventually become MY room!!

I have three empty shelves to fill with the last of my stash or to display layouts. The bottom five squares have slide out boxes with all my knitting yarn and half-finished jumpers in. I really need to finish though - lol.

So that is me for the moment. We hope to have everything renovated by Christmas. I'm eager to start and get it over with.

Thanks for dropping by and sharing my excitement!

Great Day

It's after having great days like today, I realise how hard I struggle to keep my depression in check and how badly I've been doing that of late.

This morning the kids and I went to a Pirate birthday party for my good friend's four year old. They all had a ball and everything was thought of - great games, lovely food, nice company.

Afterwards, I dropped the kids home and went over to Scrapbook City, then to my grocery shopping. It was really nice to have some time on my own and I found that I was smiling all afternoon.

I've always loved watching other people. Today I was less annoyed about the number of *stoopid* people who's paths I crossed. I was more amused in the ridiculous manner in which people behave. General cranky people, who would feel better if they just smiled once in a while. The hoon in his car, dangerously weaving in and out, just to end up one car ahead of where he was. There was the guy who ran through/ignored a Give Way sign and nearly wiped me out..... I took my right of way with a big smile. I was also nearly wiped out by an idiot doing 80kph in the 60 zone at the end of my blind street. None of these things worried me today.

I had that excited feeling in my stomach, like something was about to happen. I hope this good feeling will last forever!!

Silly Season & Shopping

We've had such a great Christmas/New Year period. John is back to work tomorrow, so we are enjoying one last day before routine sets in again.

My kids had a lovely Christmas. Santa brought a few surprises and they also received lots of fantastic presents from our family and friends. Between us all, we were given a TWO FOOT pile of DVDs!! Most of them kiddies ones, but a few adult ones. Santa brought me the Back to the Future set, which I am VERY happy about!!

We saw New Year in with a bang - lol!! John went to bed around 10pm and I stayed up until midnight scrapping. I had to finish six layouts to get to my goal, which I managed. I will share them with you soon.

Over the last few days, I've been lucky enough to do a little scrap shopping. I haven't had a BIG shop for a long time. The last six months has seen me just picking up bits and pieces from the wonderful Scrapbook City.

Here are a couple of pics of my purchases. I am VERY happy with it all. I ducked down to see Lyndal & Nicky @ Scrapbooks Etc and they were lovely as always. I loved the big, "Hi Sara" in unison as I walked through the door. Very welcoming.

I'm off to catch a bit of the cricket, then a bit of Spring (well, Summer) cleaning. I am dreading the wrapping of the school books, so I might do this soon to get it over and done with, too. I'd rather be scrapping!!
